Zulum Commends Tinubu, Military for Rescuing 360 Captives

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian military for their successful operation that rescued 360 individuals, including men, women, and children, from the Mandara Mountain area, a known terrorist stronghold. The operation, conducted by troops of Operation Hadin Kai, was described by Zulum as a demonstration of courage and professionalism, significantly impacting the fight against insurgency in Northeast Nigeria.

In a statement released on Sunday by his special adviser on media, Dauda Iliya, Zulum reaffirmed the commitment of both the federal government and the Borno State government to safeguard lives and restore peace in the region. He expressed gratitude to the military leadership, including the Chief of Defence Staff and the Chief of Army Staff, as well as the soldiers involved in the operation.

Zulum also urged residents to remain vigilant and continue cooperating with security agencies to eliminate criminal activities in the state.
