Borno Governor Zulum Launches Free Christmas Transport Program for Non-Indigenes

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has initiated a free annual transport program for non-indigenes during the Christmas season to promote inclusivity and unity. The program aims to facilitate safe inter-state travel regardless of ethnicity or religion.

Chairman of the implementation committee, Ugochukwu Egwudik, highlighted the program's focus on alleviating hardships faced by low-income earners and vulnerable groups. Various stakeholders, including the Christian Association of Nigeria, have commended the initiative for its impact on social cohesion and family reunification.

The program will cover six geopolitical zones, transporting a total of 320 passengers daily, with additional support for widows, orphans, and vulnerable individuals.
