Borno Governor Zulum Unveils N890bn Budget for 2026, Focuses on Road Projects

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has submitted a budget of N890.33 billion for 2026 to the State House of Assembly, with a strong emphasis on road projects to address traffic congestion and boost economic growth in Maiduguri. The budget includes allocations for capital projects and recurrent spending, with key road infrastructure projects planned for areas like Bulumkutu and Jagol.

Zulum aims to improve road safety, enhance business activities, and ease traffic flow in Maiduguri by fixing major road links to towns like Monguno, Dikwa, and Banki.
