Police Reform Regulations

Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu received new regulations for the Nigeria Police Force on April 15, 2026. The regulations aim to enhance professionalism and accountability within the force, aligning with the Police Act of 2020.

The Federal Government has ordered the implementation of newly gazetted police regulations aimed at reforming the Nigeria Police Force. The regulations, presented by Ibrahim Geidam, focus on leadership reform, arrest and detention practices, and community oversight.
