Aliyu Abubakar Malabu Oil Acquittal

Aliyu Abubakar and seven others were acquitted of money-laundering and corruption charges related to Malabu Oil and Gas Limited by Justice Inyang Ekwo of a Federal High Court in Abuja, citing insufficient evidence from the EFCC.

The Federal High Court in Abuja acquitted Aliyu Abubakar and Malabu Oil and Gas Limited of $1bn money laundering charges, citing insufficient evidence from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Aliyu Abubakar and Malabu Oil and Gas Limited were acquitted in a $1bn fraud case by the Federal High Court in Abuja, as the EFCC failed to prove allegations beyond reasonable doubt and proceeded against the Attorney-General's advice.
