Makinde NLNG Dividend Controversy

Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State and APM presidential candidate, accused President Bola Tinubu's government of withholding ₦250 billion in NLNG dividends. Makinde challenged the federal government to address these allegations and stated he has evidence to support his claim

The Presidency refuted Governor Seyi Makinde's claim that N250 billion in NLNG dividends owed to each state is being withheld until after the 2027 elections. Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga stated that Makinde's assertions are false and misleading.
