APC Aspirants Urge Tinubu to Address Kwara Crisis

Ten governorship aspirants from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State have raised alarms regarding a leadership crisis within the party, writing to President Bola Tinubu for urgent intervention. They described the crisis as deepening under Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who they allege has lost moral political authority, jeopardizing the party's prospects for the 2027 general elections.

The aspirants, including Dr. Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Alabi and Capt.

Ahmad Mahmud, expressed their continued loyalty to Tinubu's administration but warned that the internal crisis could weaken the APC's electoral chances in Kwara State. They criticized the governor's selection process as exclusionary, which has heightened tensions among stakeholders.

The aspirants emphasized the need for a unified leadership to sustain the coalition that brought the APC to power in Kwara State, recalling the successful Otogé political movement of 2019. They urged immediate action to prevent further fragmentation of the party and to restore democratic inclusiveness.
