Nigeria's Fuel Prices Drop: 10 Cheapest States Revealed

According to the article, the average retail price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in Nigeria dropped by 11.81% in December 2025 compared to the previous year. The report by the National Bureau of Statistics revealed that Oyo State had the lowest average petrol price at N996.55 per liter, while Lagos, where the Dangote Refinery is located, recorded the lowest zonal average price at N1,029.51.

The data showed significant price variations across states, with some states like Yobe, Taraba, and Bauchi having higher average prices. The North East zone had the highest average retail petrol price, followed by the South East and South South zones.
