10 Passengers Kidnapped in Edo State, Gunmen Demand ₦20 Million Ransom

Gunmen kidnapped at least 10 passengers in Edo State along the Benin-Sobe-Akure road, demanding a ₦20 million ransom. The victims, including Mr.

John Odion Ogut and Miss Ayeni Joi, were taken from a highway near Benin City. The kidnappers later reduced their ransom demand to ₦10 million.

Efforts are underway to secure the release of the victims, causing fear among residents due to the rising spate of kidnappings in the area. This incident follows the recent release of Wahab Aisha, who was kidnapped two weeks prior in Auchi.
