Gunmen Kidnap 12 Passengers in Kogi State; Rescue Efforts Underway

Gunmen abducted 12 passengers from a commercial bus belonging to Big Joe Ventures Ltd in Kogi State. The Kogi State Police Command confirmed the incident, with 8 victims already rescued through a joint effort with the military and vigilante groups.

The remaining 4 victims, including Barrister Onyesom Peace Udoka, are still being sought. The kidnappers have demanded a N20 million ransom for the victims' release.

The abduction occurred on the Okene-Auchi Road, with the police intensifying efforts to rescue the remaining victims and apprehend the perpetrators. The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region.
