100,000 Dollars Grants Up for Grabs as FG Opens Phase 2 of CEDF to Nigerians

The Nigerian government has launched phase 2 of the Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF), offering $100,000 grants to support creative businesses. The initiative aims to boost the creative sector as a key driver of economic growth and cultural diplomacy.

The Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy announced the rollout of the CEDF, empowering individuals and businesses in the creative space. The fund is designed to foster innovation and sustainable financing in Nigeria's cultural industry, aligning with the government's focus on job creation and economic diversification.

Interested Nigerians, including filmmakers, artists, and fashion designers, can apply for the grants until the end of August through the CEDF website. The first phase of the CEDF empowered businesses with N160 million, and the second phase targets SMEs and startups.

This initiative is part of the government's broader efforts to support entrepreneurship and skills development in the country.
