FG Rolls Out ₦250,000 Free Grants for MSMEs, Opens Ultra-Modern ICT Hub in Cross River

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the rollout of ₦250,000 free grants for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Cross River State. Vice President Kashim Shettima unveiled an ultra-modern Information Communication Technology (ICT) hub as part of the government's efforts to empower entrepreneurs with tools and skills.

The initiative was launched during the 8th Expanded National MSME Clinics, which brought together various government agencies to address challenges faced by business owners. Shettima highlighted the importance of the grants, describing them as unconditional funds to accelerate the growth of MSMEs.

Additionally, the government outlined interventions such as the N75 billion MSME Intervention Fund and the Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme. The initiative aims to support small businesses and create employment opportunities, with the first phase of the Creative Economy Development Fund closing on May 30, 2025.
