$100,000: ‘It Will Be Paid’ – NSC DG Tells Super Falcons

The Nigerian Super Falcons recently won their 10th continental title in Morocco, with promises of a $100,000 reward from the Nigerian government. However, team captain Rasheedat Ajibade revealed that none of the pledges, including match bonuses, had been fulfilled, sparking a public debate on the government's commitment to the players.

In an interview with Arise TV, NSC DG Olopade confirmed that all match bonuses had been settled except for one or two players with account issues. He also mentioned ongoing discussions with the Ministry of Housing on the Renewed Hope Homes program to deliver promised apartments to the team in a timely manner.

Olopade emphasized that the current administration is focused on changing the narrative on athlete welfare and fulfilling promises made to the Super Falcons.
