President Tinubu Confers National Honours, Awards $100k To Each Super Falcons Player

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu honored the victorious Super Falcons of Nigeria with the Officer of the Order of Niger (OON) for their Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) win in 2025. Each of the 24 players and the technical team received a three-bedroom apartment and a cash award of $100,000.

The Nigerian Governors Forum also contributed a million dollars to the team. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa, where Tinubu, along with his wife Senator Remi Tinubu, congratulated the team for their resilience and determination.

Tinubu expressed his admiration for the team's performance and recounted how he was on the edge of his seat watching their comeback win against Morocco. The event was attended by dignitaries and was a celebration of the team's success.
