11 Nigerians Arrested in Thailand for Romance Scam Syndicate

Thai authorities arrested 11 Nigerians and two Ivorians in Thailand for their suspected involvement in a romance scam syndicate. The group allegedly defrauded victims by posing as wealthy individuals on social media platforms and convincing them to transfer money.

The arrests were made following complaints from Thai women who were deceived by the scammers. The suspects were apprehended in a joint operation by the Immigration Bureau Commission.

Investigations revealed links to fund transfers to Nigeria.
