Ghana Arrests 53 Nigerians for Cybercrime in Accra

Ghanaian authorities have arrested 53 Nigerian nationals in Accra for engaging in cybercrime activities such as romance scams and business email compromise schemes. The arrests were made following a joint operation involving multiple agencies, including cyber security authorities.

The suspects were found trafficking in Ghana and carrying out cybercrime activities across Accra. Seized items included laptops, mobile phones, and firearms.

This crackdown is part of Ghana's efforts to combat cybercrime and collaborate with international partners. Notable individuals arrested in similar operations include Abu Trica and Frederick Kumi.
