Nigeria Partners with ISSA for Enhanced Social Security

Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to social security and employee protection by partnering with the International Social Security Association (ISSA). This partnership was highlighted during a meeting at the 114th International Labour Conference held in Geneva, Switzerland.

The meeting included Marcelo Abi-Ramia Caetano, the ISSA Secretary General, and a delegation from the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) led by Executive Director of Administration, Samaila Abdu, and represented by Managing Director Barr. Oluwaseun Faley.

The ISSA Secretary General praised the NSITF for successfully hosting a recent conference in Abuja and commended the management team for their commitment to the growth and development of social security in the West African sub-region. The NSITF is set to host the ISSA Africa Global Conference on Social Security Agencies in West Africa on April 22nd and 23rd, further emphasizing its commitment to improving access to social security services in the region.
