NSITF Hosts ISSA 2026 Seminar on Social Security Access

The National Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) organized the ISSA 2026 seminar in Abuja at the Continental Hotel from April 22-23, 2026. The seminar aimed to enhance inclusive social security through effective communication, addressing persistent gaps in access to social security services in West Africa.

Key stakeholders gathered to brainstorm strategies for improving understanding and bridging coverage gaps. NSITF's Managing Director and Chief Executive, Barrister Oluwaseun Faley, welcomed delegates, emphasizing the importance of the seminar in the context of ongoing efforts within the ISSA West Africa family.

The discussions focused on the need for clearer communication to ensure that social security services reach those in need, particularly marginalized groups such as women, persons with disabilities, and informal workers. The seminar also highlighted the role of digital transformation in improving service delivery and building public trust in social security systems.
