13 Kidnap Victims Rescued in Zamfara Military Operation

On Wednesday, the Joint Task Force, led by Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, reported the successful rescue of thirteen kidnap victims in Zamfara State. The operations took place in the Anka and Kaura Namoda local government areas, where troops acted on credible intelligence regarding armed terrorists traveling on motorcycles.

During the first operation in Bagega, troops engaged the terrorists, who fled, abandoning their mission. A makeshift terrorist camp was discovered, leading to the rescue of five civilians unharmed.

In a separate operation in Ungwan Rogo, troops engaged in a fierce firefight with terrorists, resulting in the rescue of eight additional victims and the recovery of two vehicles. The rescued individuals were handed over to appropriate authorities for further care and support.

The military continues to maintain pressure on criminal elements in the region to deny terrorists freedom of action.
