15 Killed in Niger State Bus Collision and Fire

On Sunday, a tragic road accident in Niger State led to the deaths of 15 individuals and left 25 others injured. The incident involved two buses traveling in the same direction that collided while one was attempting to overtake at a bend.

Following the collision, both vehicles caught fire. Aishatu Sa’adu, the Niger State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed the details of the accident.

The injured victims were promptly evacuated to the Federal Medical Centre in Bida and the General Hospital in Kutigi for medical treatment. Sa’adu attributed the cause of the crash to speeding and wrongful overtaking, urging motorists to adhere to speed limits and avoid such dangerous maneuvers.
