15 People Burnt to Death in Niger Road Accident

On August 8, 2026, a devastating road accident occurred along the Enagi–Costain Duma sharp corner road in Mokwa Local Government Area, Niger State, resulting in the deaths of 15 individuals who were reportedly burnt to death inside their vehicle. Eyewitness Ahmed Ndagana stated that the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, and full details regarding the victims are still being verified by relevant authorities.

Following the incident, all 15 bodies were given a mass burial in accordance with Islamic rites. Ndagana urged all road users to exercise caution, particularly around sharp corners and during the rainy season, to prevent further accidents.
