Five Dead, Eight Injured in Niger Road Accident

On Sunday, a tragic road accident occurred in the Agai Agai Local Government Area of Niger, resulting in the deaths of five people and injuries to eight others. Mr.

Hussaini Guregi, a desk officer from the National Emergency Management Agency, confirmed the incident to newsmen. The accident involved a trailer transporting 40 passengers and a tanker.

The trailer was traveling from Gusau in Zamfara to Shagamu in Ogun State when the crash happened. According to Guregi, the accident was caused by a faulty tanker attempting to overtake the trailer.

In the process of avoiding the tanker, the trailer lost control and crashed. The five deceased individuals were confirmed dead at the scene, while the injured were taken to a general hospital in Agai for treatment.

The bodies of the deceased were deposited at the general hospital's morgue.
