18th Headies Awards Nominees Announced for 2026 Event

The 18th Headies Awards nominees have been unveiled, with the ceremony scheduled for October 25, 2026, in Toronto, Canada. The theme for this edition is “Africa to the World,” reflecting the awards' expansion beyond Nigeria.

Notable Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Rema, Asake, Ayra Starr, and Tems are prominently featured among the nominees. Additionally, emerging talents like Fido, Fola, Mavo, Llona, and Shoday have received nominations in various major categories.

The awards encompass 37 categories, including Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Next Rated, and Best Male and Female Artiste, showcasing a diverse range of genres and performances. The nominations also include West African artists like Black Sherif, KiDi, King Promise, Moliy, and Stonebwoy, as well as international nominees.

Special honors will be awarded to Cecil Hammond for Special Recognition and Awilo Longomba with the Headies Hall of Fame Award, setting the stage for a competitive awards night.
