Boko Haram Attack in Yobe Leaves 2 Dead, 8 Injured

On the evening of the attack, around 8 PM, Boko Haram insurgents stormed the town of Geidam in Yobe State, targeting a vigilant outpost and the Fanfon Nuri mini market. The assault resulted in the death of a vigilant member and injuries to eight civilians, who sustained varying degrees of injuries while attempting to flee the scene.

Sources indicated that the insurgents managed to infiltrate the town unnoticed by hiding in bushes and attacking the outpost, where the vigilant member was killed instantly. Although civilians were not directly targeted, the chaos following the attack led to injuries among those present.

Efforts to reach the Director of Public Relations Unit of the Operation Hadin Kai sector 2 in Damaturu for assistance were unsuccessful at the time of the report.
