Borno and Kano Triumph in 2025 National Qur’anic Competition

Borno and Kano states were declared the top winners of the 2025 National Qur’anic Competition, with Musa Ahm Musa from Borno winning the male category and Hafsat Sada from Kano winning the female category. The competition, held in Maiduguri, featured 296 contestants from 30 states across six categories, emphasizing mastery, accuracy, and eloquence in Quranic recitation.

The event brought together young reciters from across Nigeria, showcasing a sustained interest in Islamic education nationwide. Borno State Governor Zulum highlighted the competition as a symbol of peace and spiritual development.

Various dignitaries, including Vice President's wife Nana and officials from Usman Dan Fodio University, attended the event, emphasizing the importance of Quranic knowledge and education.
