JAMB Sets 2026 Admission Cut-Off Marks for Universities

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the cut-off marks for the 2026 admissions cycle, setting a minimum score of 150 for universities and 100 for polytechnics. This decision was made during the 6th edition of the National Tertiary Admissions Performance Merit Award Policy meeting, attended by Vice Chancellors and stakeholders in the education sector.

Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, President of the Institute, revealed that candidates seeking admission for educational programs in agriculture and non-engineering courses will no longer be required to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The highest scorer in the 2026 UTME was Daniella Jesudunsin from Ekiti State, who scored 372 out of 400 points. The deadline for public universities to conclude the 2026/2027 admission exercise is December 31, 2026, while private universities have until November 30, 2026.
