JAMB Sets May 2026 Meeting for Admission Cut-Off Marks

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a policy meeting set for May 11, 2026, to establish the minimum unified cut-off marks for admissions into tertiary institutions for the 2026/2027 academic session. This information was disclosed by JAMB's spokesperson, Benjamin, in a statement issued on Sunday.

The meeting will take place in Abuja and is expected to gather vice chancellors, rectors, provosts, registrars, and admission officers from tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, is anticipated to unveil significant policy directives during this meeting, which aims to reinforce the need for institutions to comply with approved admission guidelines.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for stakeholders to review issues affecting admissions and agree on a framework for the upcoming academic session. Additionally, JAMB will present the sixth edition of the National Tertiary Admissions Performance Merit Award during the event to promote compliance with admission guidelines and improve transparency in the admission process.
