NSC Confirms Camp Allowances for Team Nigeria Athletes

The Nigerian Sports Commission (NSC) has confirmed the payment of camp allowances to Team Nigeria athletes ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 2, 2026. Kola Daniel, a special assistant to the media for NSC Director General Bukola Olopade, disclosed that the preparations for the Nigerian contingent are advancing as the delegation comes together for the opening ceremony.

Athletes, including Kayinsola Ajayi, have begun receiving their camp allowances as part of ongoing efforts to ensure optimal preparation and welfare for the competition. Several athletes are currently based in training camps, including Nigeria's 3x3 basketball team, which is training in Amsterdam and scheduled to play two friendly matches as part of their final preparations.

The complete Nigerian delegation is expected to arrive in Aberdeen over the weekend to finalize their assembly ahead of the games.
