Dangote Cement Exports Surge 71.6% in Q1 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, Dangote Cement Plc achieved a significant milestone by increasing its cement clinker exports from Nigeria by 71.6%. The company's total production capacity reached 55 million tons per annum (MTA) across Africa.

During this period, Dangote Cement completed 10 clinker shipments to neighboring markets, reinforcing its position as Africa's leading cement exporter. According to the unaudited financial results for Q1 2026, total sales volume increased by 13.8% year-on-year, driven by growth of 11.5% in Nigeria and 19.5% across its pan-African operations.

Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Arvind Pathak stated that the results reflect the strength of the company's operational model and disciplined execution. Revenue rose by 20.4% to ₦1.198 trillion, with EBITDA increasing by 22.8% to ₦567.1 billion.

Profit before tax was ₦421.1 billion, a 35% increase from ₦311.9 billion in the corresponding period of 2025. The company aims to reach an 80 MTA production capacity by 2030.
