Keyamo Critiques Opposition Ahead of 2026 FCT Elections

Festus Keyamo, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed strong criticism of the opposition in the context of the upcoming 2026 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) elections. He labeled the opposition as a "bunch of lazy, shameless characters," accusing them of fabricating excuses for their electoral failures.

Keyamo emphasized that the opposition's attempts to portray the electoral process as flawed are unfounded, particularly highlighting that out of 2,822 polling units in the FCT, only a small number (less than 10) had discrepancies in their result sheets. He argued that even if 50 units had correct figures, it would leave 2,770 units unaffected, thus undermining the opposition's claims.

Keyamo warned that such actions could create mass hysteria and pose a danger to democracy, as they might stir social unrest among unsuspecting Nigerian voters. He urged the electorate to reject the theatrics of the opposition and remain vigilant against misinformation.
