Adeleke Urges Osun Citizens to Defend Voting Rights

On a recent occasion, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State called on the people to rise and defend their democratic rights in light of the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15. Speaking at the official launch of his re-election campaign at Freedom Park in Osogbo, Adeleke encouraged citizens not to be intimidated when exercising their voting rights.

He affirmed that with the support of the people and God's grace, he would prevail in the elections. Adeleke emphasized the importance of ensuring that votes count and urged the public to remain courageous against any dark forces.

He also addressed the political landscape in Osun State, noting the resignation of several members from the APC, including Akinsor Omisore and Lawal Olayemi, who cited personal convictions and the influence of family and political leaders in their decisions. Their resignations reflect a growing discontent within the APC in Osun State.
