Six African Nations Advance to 2026 World Cup Knockouts

Six African countries have qualified for the Round of 32 in the 2026 World Cup. Ghana has confirmed its spot, although the Black Stars have yet to play their final group game against Croatia.

Cape Verde's qualification comes after they finished second in their group behind Spain, following a third consecutive draw in the tournament. Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, and Côte d'Ivoire also advanced to the knockout round.

Meanwhile, Tunisia has been officially eliminated, and Senegal, Algeria, and DR Congo are still in contention, waiting to see if they can qualify as one of the best third-place teams.
