Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Backs Tinubu for 2027 Election

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has called on political leaders in the North and North-West to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's bid for a second term in the 2027 presidential election. Yusuf stated that power should remain in the South for a corresponding period following former President Muhammadu Buhari's eight-year tenure.

He emphasized that Tinubu should be allowed to complete a total of eight years in office, which includes securing another term. The governor made these remarks while receiving 50 branded vehicles donated to the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Door-to-Door Campaign Organisation, led by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo.

Yusuf declared that Kano and the North-West would support Tinubu's re-election and urged for peaceful electioneering. He stated that the vehicles would be used to bolster APC political structures and campaign activities across Kano State ahead of the elections.

Yusuf also called for issue-based campaigns and urged politicians to avoid violence during the election period.
