Dapo Abiodun Launches Ogun APC Campaign Council for 2027

On September 17, 2026, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun inaugurated the State Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta. As Chairman of the Campaign Council, Abiodun directed members to begin consultations, grassroots mobilization, and sustained voter engagement across the state's 20 local government areas, 236 wards, and polling units.

He emphasized that the campaign's success would hinge on effective organization and engagement with the electorate, rather than merely on political reputation or rally sizes. Notably absent from the event were former governors Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun, who were appointed Deputy Grand Patrons of the council.

Present were Chief Olusegun Osoba, the Grand Patron; APC governorship candidate Senator Solomon Adeola and his running mate Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, among others. Abiodun urged unity within the party and called for immediate action from the council members.
