PDP Launches 2027 Ogun Governorship Campaign in Abeokuta

On Wednesday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) officially launched its campaign for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election at Ake Palace Pavilion in Abeokuta. Thousands of supporters, dressed in party attire, gathered to support the PDP governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu, and his running mate, ‘Yemi Showunmi-Kolapo.

The event commenced with a procession from the PDP Secretariat, where Adebutu and other party leaders were welcomed by jubilant crowds. Despite heavy rain, supporters celebrated, singing and dancing.

In his speech titled “A Call to Liberation,” Adebutu called for the ousting of the All Progressives Congress, promising to deliver quality governance and address issues like corruption and misgovernance. He urged residents to vote for the PDP on February 6, 2027, and outlined seven key areas of focus, including security, local government autonomy, and economic development.

Adebutu assured that workers and pensioners would receive their entitlements promptly and emphasized the need to stop double taxation affecting traders.
