Labour Party Names Kennedi Ahanotu as 2027 Candidate

On Saturday, Julius Abure's faction of the Labour Party unveiled Kennedi Ahanotu as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections during a primary event held in Abuja. Abure, the national chairman of the Labour Party, was represented at the event by the deputy national chairman, Ayo Olorunfemi.

Ahanotu accepted the nomination with a deep sense of responsibility, pledging unwavering commitment to Nigeria's progress. He emphasized the need for unity among party members and stakeholders to strengthen the party's structure and deepen internal democracy.

Ahanotu also acknowledged the significant role of Abia State Governor Alex Otti, stating that the party's success is not limited to Abia but should resonate across the country.
