Adeyanju Warns ADC Against Obi, El-Rufai for 2027

On Thursday, Deji Adeyanju, a Nigerian lawyer and activist, advised the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to avoid nominating former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai for the 2027 presidential election. Adeyanju emphasized the need for the ADC to attract voters by presenting younger candidates, suggesting that individuals under 40 could be game-changers for the party.

He expressed support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, and former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal as potential candidates who could effectively challenge the ruling party. Adeyanju's comments were made via a post on his Facebook account, where he highlighted the importance of strategic candidate selection for the ADC to succeed in the upcoming elections.
