ADC Urges Electorate to Decide Rivers State Governor

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), represented by its state chairman Chukwudi Dimkpa, has asserted that the decision regarding the next governor of Rivers State rests with the electorate. During a recent statement made in Port Harcourt, Dimkpa highlighted the importance of democratic participation and transparency in the electoral process.

He noted that the ADC aims to position itself as a platform that fosters inclusivity and reflects the interests of Rivers residents, particularly in the riverine and upland communities. Dimkpa stressed the need for equitable competition and a consultative approach in selecting candidates, with the goal of presenting candidates capable of effective governance and security.

He reiterated that the ADC prioritizes issues of governance, security, and economic development, emphasizing that the leadership selection should address the concerns of the electorate ahead of the 2027 elections.
