ADC Gathers 3,000 Delegates for Abuja Convention

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed that it will mobilize 3,000 delegates for its national convention set for April 14 in Abuja. Despite facing challenges regarding venue permissions, the party is proceeding with preparations.

ADC's Bola Abdullahi stated that they submitted a request to use Eagle Square but received no response, leading them to secure Rainbow Hotel as an alternative venue. Abdullahi criticized the government's actions against the party, describing them as an assault on democracy.

He noted that the ADC remains committed to its activities regardless of the federal government's attempts to disrupt their plans. The party aims to conduct a free, fair, and credible convention, emphasizing its dedication to internal democracy and the rule of law.

The convention will also mark the election of new state executive chairmen, demonstrating the party's commitment to democratic processes.
