ADC Aspirant Hayatu-Deen Unveils Security Blueprint

Moham Hayatu-Deen, a presidential aspirant for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), unveiled a comprehensive security blueprint aimed at tackling insecurity in Nigeria. Hayatu-Deen, a former chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, emphasized the close link between the country's security crisis and economic challenges.

His plan includes several key actions: formal designation of specific criminal groups as terrorist organizations, expedited prosecution of bandits and kidnappers, dismantling financial networks that support terrorism, and enhancing intelligence coordination across relevant agencies. He proposed the establishment of a terror court to handle cases more efficiently and pledged to rebuild a multinational joint task force to strengthen regional security cooperation with neighboring countries.

Hayatu-Deen also called for reforms in police capacity and the launch of targeted economic recovery programs in high-risk regions to prevent youth recruitment into criminal networks. He stressed that the federal government would not legitimize criminal violence through ransom payments or political concessions.
