Hayatu-Deen Joins ADC, Critiques Nigeria's Insecurity

Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, a former presidential aspirant for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In a statement released on Sunday by his media office, Hayatu-Deen expressed concern over Nigeria's worsening insecurity and the shrinking democratic space.

He emphasized the need for credible alternatives capable of delivering security, economic stability, and job creation. Hayatu-Deen lamented the strain on democratic institutions and the lack of genuine opposition, which he believes has narrowed the choices available to Nigerians.

He pledged to leverage his decades of experience in business and economics to reform the campaign activities of the ADC ahead of the 2027 elections. Hayatu-Deen's decision to join the ADC was motivated by the desire to address fundamental problems facing the nation and to provide a credible governance alternative that will tackle insecurity and reduce the cost of living.
