ADC Launches RiseUp Naija Movement for Youth Leadership

On Thursday, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) unveiled the RiseUp Naija movement in Abuja, aiming to encourage Nigerian youths to take charge of the country's political future. The event featured prominent figures, including ADC chieftain Alhaji Kashim Imam, who emphasized the need for a new generation of leadership to address Nigeria's challenges stemming from poor governance.

Imam criticized the older generation for failing the youth and urged them to seize the opportunity to shape the nation's future. Former ADC national chairman Dr.

Ralph Nwosu highlighted the importance of young Nigerians in various sectors, including entertainment and academia, and called for their active involvement in politics. Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi pointed out the decline of Nigeria's political culture and the absence of ideology as contributing factors to the current political landscape.

Dr. Aliyu Audu, the movement's national coordinator, described the initiative as a means to reconnect citizens with governance and promote issue-based politics, emphasizing that the future of Nigeria will be built by its citizens.
