Ooni of Ife Donates ₦100m to Support Iru Ekun Security

On Tuesday, during a courtesy visit to the Ooni’s Palace in Ile-Ife, Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho, and members of the Iru Ekun Security Network received a donation of ₦100 million and a brand-new Hilux vehicle from the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. The announcement was made in a statement issued on Wednesday by the palace, signed by Sodiq Lawal for the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Moses Olafare.

The Ooni praised Igboho for his commitment to the security of the Yoruba people, stating that security is vital for sustainable development. He called for unity among Yoruba stakeholders to support the Iru Ekun Security Network.

Igboho expressed gratitude for the Ooni's support, referring to him as “the father of all Yoruba people worldwide,” and mentioned plans for a security summit involving traditional rulers to address insecurity in the region, pending the Ooni’s approval.
