ADC Urges INEC to Publish PVC Distribution Timetable

On September 11, 2026, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to publish a clear nationwide timetable for the production, distribution, and collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in preparation for the 2027 general election. The ADC, represented by National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, expressed concern that administrative delays could hinder registered voters from obtaining their PVCs, particularly in the Northwest.

The party stated that registering voters without ensuring access to PVCs constitutes disenfranchisement. The ADC urged INEC to provide detailed state-by-state information on newly registered voters, PVCs produced, distributed cards, outstanding cards, and collection centers.

They also called for improved public information campaigns and decentralization of PVC collection. The ADC plans to monitor PVC distribution and document complaints from voters, emphasizing the need for timely resolution of these issues to ensure electoral credibility.
