2027: ADC youth warns Tinubu over appointment of new INEC boss

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) youth wing has issued a warning to President Bola Tinubu regarding the appointment of the new INEC Chairman as Mahmood Yakubu's tenure ends in December 2027. The ADC youth accused Tinubu of manipulating the process to appoint his aide, Bayo Onanuga, as the head of INEC.

They expressed concerns that such an appointment would defeat the ruling APC and compromise the integrity of the electoral process. The ADC youth emphasized the need for a transparent and accountable selection process to defend the votes of Nigerians.

The group, including leaders such as Ruqayya Lamido Dodo and Murtala Haliru Dantoro, called for Nigeria's interests to be prioritized over partisan agendas. They declared the African Democratic Youth Congress (ADYC) as a driving force for change, advocating for the empowerment of young Nigerians to shape the future of the nation.
