Solomon Adeola Wins Ogun APC Gubernatorial Primary

Solomon Olamilekan Adeola has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Ogun State in the 2027 elections. This decision was made during a primary election held in Ward 3, Iperu, Ikenne Local Government Area, which attracted unprecedented participation from party members.

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun disclosed that 700 aspirants initially expressed interest in various positions within the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections. The party adopted an extensive consultative process to ensure the emergence of a credible candidate and maintain unity within its ranks.

Abiodun emphasized that no aspirant was compelled to step down, promoting inclusivity and a sense of belonging among all participants. The primary election was conducted peacefully, with no incidents of violence reported.

Adeola received 829 votes, with no other aspirants contesting in his ward. The governor commended the leadership of the APC for their efforts in ensuring a fair and transparent primary process.
