APC Urges Opposition to Prepare for 2031 Elections

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on opposition parties to redirect their efforts towards preparing for the 2031 elections rather than contesting the already settled 2027 mandate. This statement was made by APC spokesman Oladejo on Wednesday in response to ongoing political activities and comments from opposition groups.

Oladejo highlighted the crucial role of opposition parties in strengthening democracy and urged them to respect electoral outcomes, which reflect Nigerian confidence in the APC's leadership and development agenda. He criticized the opposition for poor organization and lack of unity, pointing out the disarray evident in last-minute alliances formed ahead of party primaries.

The APC advised the opposition to focus on rebuilding and strategizing for the upcoming elections, emphasizing that there is sufficient time to reflect on internal reforms and develop credible alternatives. The party reiterated its commitment to governance, prioritizing infrastructure development, economic growth, security, and citizen welfare.
