APC Chieftain Calls for Clarity on Tinubu's Mandate Renewal

Emmanuel Odigi, an APC chieftain, addressed supporters regarding the upcoming 2027 elections, stressing the necessity for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to communicate his plans for mandate renewal. Speaking on Thursday during an appearance on Arise Television's morning show, Odigi reflected on Tinubu's recent trip to the United Kingdom, which he described as beneficial for strengthening Nigeria's international relations.

He urged that the current administration must demonstrate clear results across key sectors as citizens begin to demand accountability. Odigi warned against situations where agreements signed during foreign visits are later abandoned, emphasizing the need for swift implementation of memoranda of understanding.

He noted that as Tinubu's current tenure approaches its end, there is a growing expectation for a clear message regarding the renewal of his mandate, highlighting that Nigerians will seek evidence of governance rather than relying solely on slogans.
