APC Urges Opposition to Focus on 2031 Elections

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on opposition parties to redirect their efforts towards rebuilding structures for future elections, specifically focusing on the 2031 elections rather than contesting the outcomes of the 2027 mandates. This statement was issued on Wednesday by the party's spokesman in response to recent political activities and comments from opposition groups across the state and country.

The APC emphasized that opposition parties play a vital role in a democratic government and should engage with realism. The party criticized the opposition for poor preparation and lack of cohesion, particularly as the party primaries approach.

It noted the last-minute alliances among opposition figures as indicative of internal disorganization. The APC reiterated its commitment to governance, stressing that its primary focus remains on delivering promises to Nigerians, which include improving infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities, strengthening security, and enhancing citizens' welfare.
