Rotimi Amaechi Joins ADC Amid Violence in Rivers State

On Friday morning, Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transport, officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) by completing his registration at Ward 8 in Ubima, Ikwerr Local Government Area, Rivers State. His registration comes amid reports of violence, including an attack on ADC offices, which were set ablaze by thugs.

Amaechi appealed to his supporters to maintain calm and resist any temptations towards violence or disorder, emphasizing that such actions could lead to fatalities. He expressed satisfaction with the security operations deployed in the area and praised the state Commissioner of Police and the Director of the State Security Service for their efforts.

Furthermore, Amaechi called on security agencies to swiftly identify and prosecute those responsible for the arson, warning that acts of intimidation should not deter the party's activities in the region.
